This kind of makes me smile

Some art.

Well I'm a year behind the times again but anyway...

And in the trough of the waves
Which are pawing like dogs
Pitch we, pale-faced and grave
As I write in my log
And then I hear a noise from the hull
Seven days out to sea
And it is ... my (former?) boyfriend, Andy Samberg
He's riding on a dolphin
Doing flips and shit.
He's on a boat, motherfucker
Don't you ever forget.

The guy has also apparently dated Kirsten Dunst *and* Natalie Portman. Far out.

Dear Katherine

Hi,

I'm writing this letter to you to let you know that we will be praying for you this coming week. This is something we have done for the past six years and we do for every person and family in the church on a roster basis. I believe that God answers prayer. Not that we can manipulate Him, but that He loves to respond to us, because of His great love for us.

The Pastoral & Office staff meet for prayer each morning, praying for the day set before us. We want you to know that we are going to be praying for you, along with 2 other church families, each day at our prayer meetings this coming week.

If there are any specific things you would like us to bring before the Lord on your behalf we would count it a privilege to be able to do so. If there are specific prayer requests, please pass them on to us, if possible in writing. But rest assured that, whether you have specific items for prayer or not, we will be praying for you.

The Bible speaks about praying for one another often, and bearing each others burdens, so this in one way that this can happen.

Thanks for being part of [church X].

Your friend and Pastor,

[Pastor]

It's a nice thought. Maybe I can get around my prayer-skepticism by letting people who believe in it do it for me. I find myself curious to know what they will pray for me... Not sure what I'd ask for. My life's pretty sweet. Maybe just get them to say hi for me.
