Today my boss asked my permission to describe me, to an acquaintance of his whom I've applied to work for when this job runs out, as 'lacking in natural enthusiasm'.

I said ok.

But observed to my boss that this is a failing (if that is what it is) of expression, not of feeling.

He also said some good things.

Now try saying 'enthusiasm' ten times. It goes all funny.
