Any place that advertises Underground coffee is fair traded (their two things are fair trade and custom roasting to a spec), and I believe that the same may be true of Hummingbird these days (they have little stickers on their most of their coffee now claiming it now i think). I also am under the impression that Trade aid coffee is just rebranded hummingbird.
* Food 4 Thought is variable, poor to slightly better than average. They use Underground.
* C1 sells 'fair crack', but i dont know if any of their other coffee is fair traded. FC costs about 50c extra but its good.
The various Christchurch roasteries that sell fair trade coffee are all good - Hummingbird, C4 etc.
Countdown on Colombo St. in Beckenham sells Hummingbird fair trade.

We're now at the point where around 40% of our business is Fair Trade. Our goal is to continue growing this as we can find suitable green beans.
We've been cupping and testing a number of options lately with a view to increasing the Fair Trade and organic components of Hummingbird Coffee.
Although many of our blends contain some Fair Trade Organic beans, we have 2 fully Fair Trade organic blends, one just called Fair Trade Organic, our first one, and one called Oomph!, a satisfying full-flavoured espresso blend with a wonderful piquant edge to it.
A rich yet mellow plunger-style blend is in the pipeline and will come on board once we've finished tweaking it and we're happy with it.

Yeah, Underground coffee is da shizz. We buy their beans to make coffee in our fancy coffee machine. And it tastes niiiice =)
you failed to mention Starbucks. they also happen to give the most to charity too
starbucks is also oversized, overpriced and over-not-very-good.
They do have fair trade brochures in their shops, but I think organisations like oxfam which promote fiar trade have issues with them.

looks to me like they are still being bastards.
I dislike them because their coffee is pants and the services is consistently (by design) fast foodish and naff.
also, anyone know what coffee culture (the local francise coffee outlet) is in terms of fair trade?
