My new year's resolution. Or rather, I hadn't actually made it till a few days into January. Anyway, it is: less anthropomorphism. It's a bad habit.

Curious. But yes. Having a baby in the house is interesting, because so many people are convinced that it's a fully aware human being just with crappy motor control. Which, you know, doesn't appear to be the case.

Also, the word "suffering" in terms of animal rights is immensely loaded with human associations. (Which I assume is part of where you're coming from.)
